Eliza looked toward Sherlock. He was sitting quietly by the roadside, calm and watchful. He hadn’t gone far. He had simply gone to find help.
A few minutes later, the emergency team arrived. After checking on the woman and the child, they reassured everyone: the situation was under control. At last, people could breathe again. The tension slowly turned into relief.
Eliza’s eyes filled with tears. She knelt beside Sherlock and held him tightly.
“You knew… you called us…” she murmured.
Matteo walked over and gently rested his hand on her shoulder.
– “Today, our marriage has become bigger… more human,” he said softly.
The priest, who had come to stand beside them, added:
– “Today, we saw that love can speak without words.”
A few hours later, the ceremony began again. But the feeling in the room had changed. Hearts were more open, closer, more alive. That day, they had witnessed not only a union, but also the strength of kindness.
When Eliza and Matteo stepped out of the church as husband and wife, Sherlock was waiting by the doorway, calm and proud, his tail slowly wagging.
That day, everyone understood a simple truth:
When the heart hears another’s distress, the world grows brighter.
