Soft Batch Chocolate Chip Cookies

Soft Batch Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the cooled butter with granulated sugar and light brown sugar using a hand mixer or stand mixer. Beat until the mixture becomes light and fluffy, which should take about 2-3 minutes. This step is crucial as it helps incorporate air into the dough, making the cookies light and soft.

Step 4: Add the Eggs and Vanilla

  • Mix in the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. The eggs help bind everything together and create a smooth batter. Add the vanilla extract and continue mixing until the batter is well combined. This is when the dough starts to take shape and develop its familiar cookie dough texture.

Step 5: Add Dry Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients while mixing on low speed. Mix just until everything is combined to avoid overworking the dough. If the dough seems too wet or sticky, add flour a tablespoon at a time until it reaches the right consistency. You shouldn’t need more than 3 tablespoons extra.

Step 6: Fold in the Chocolate Chips
